Spring Break Art Camp

Spring Break Art Camp for children and youth in elementary and middle school will begin on March 16, 2020! The instructor Debra Weller, artist and educator, will lead the students on artistic adventures inspired by famous artists and movements. Projects will incorporate a variety of mediums and techniques to encourage art appreciation and critical thinking, as well as allow the students to experiment with their own creativity.

  • Art Classes for children and youth–appropriate for elementary and middle school ages
  • Monday through Wednesday from 9am-Noon at the St. Augustine Art Association

SPRING BREAK ART CAMP DATES

  1. SURPRISING SELFIES (Monday, March 16: 9am-Noon) Your good side…Perfect lighting… The right filter… The greats like Picasso, Frida and Rembrandt will show you how to take your selfie game to the next level! (Digital Art, Drawing, Sculpture, Mixed Media)
  2. BLOSSOMING BOTANICALS (Tuesday, March 17: 9am-Noon) Explore the wonderland of tropical botanicals that surrounds us everyday. Study the notes of Botanical Pioneers like Martin Johnson Heade and Georgia O’Keefe to create your own lush gardens. (Painting, Drawing, Sculpture, Printmaking)
  3. POP GOES THE ART (Wednesday, March 18: 9am-Noon) Push the limits of conventional art and design. Warhol, Lichtenstein, Britto and Harding didn’t think inside the box and neither will you! (Painting, Drawing, Sculpture, Digital Art)

To register for the Spring Break Art Camp, complete the form below, submit and pay by PayPal. For questions or assistance, please call (904) 824-2310.

AFTER SCHOOL ART PROGRAM REGISTRATION

  • Please list any special needs, allergies, or other restrictions the child may have. N/A if none. (Confidential)
  • Please provide at least one person who is authorized to pick up the child along with their relationship to the child, address and phone number. You may add more authorized pick ups once camp starts.
  • Is this person also the Emergency Contact in the event we cannot reach you? If not, please fill out the Emergency Contact info below.
  • Please select your payment option below. Supplies are included in registration fee.
  • The St. Augustine Art Association (STAAA) does not have a first responder or an EMT on staff and has minimal first-aid capabilities. It is the policy of STAAA to contact 911 in the event of a medical emergency. If the child has a food allergy that will affect snack choices, it is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to speak directly to the instructor prior to class. I hereby give permission for my child to participate in all STAAA Art Program activities. I hereby release, discharge, indemnify and hold harmless STAAA and any and all agents of STAAA from any liability, claim, cause of action, demand or damages from injury or damages of any kind to my child or property as a result of my child's participation in the educational programs of STAAA. I grant permission and understand photos of my child and my child's artwork taken during the program could be used for promotions and/or fundraising in print, advertisement and other forms of media. STAAA is not a licensed dependent care center or day care provider. Please consult your tax advisor regarding the handling of any payments made tot he Art Association for art camp.
