What is volunteering with the St. Augustine Art Association like? Relaxing. Inspiring. Challenging. Fun!
StAAA volunteer duties fit every personality style. Residents and snowbirds are welcome. Help once a month or more often. Earn community service hours. These are the opportunities available for our volunteers:
- DOCENTS: Open the gallery; greet visitors; help with small office tasks
- FESTIVALS: Sell soda, beer, wine; greet visitors,; create with kids; booth-sit for artists; prepare advertising; post signs and more. Held twice a year at Thanksgiving and Easter time
- HOSPITALITY: Food preparation; serving; kitchen duty
- MEMBERSHIP: Call new members; staff member table at events
- EXHIBITS: Oversee monthly shows; receive artwork; install artwork in the gallery
- NEWSLETTER: Write articles; photograph events; proofing/editing; sell ads
- CHILDREN'S PROGRAMS: Summer art camp; lead tours; Festival KidZone
- COMPUTERS: Web design; graphics; flyers; electronic communication updates
- RSVP: StAAA partners with the St. Augustine Retired Volunteer Service Program
Curators Wanted
Flex your creative muscle by overseeing one of our art exhibits. Every month, the StAAA gallery features a new show that requires volunteers to receive art entries, install the artwork, host the receptions and more. Learn the ins and outs of gallery operations when you sign up to be on the Show Committee. Show Manager Kathleen Trued needs your
help to:
Recruit volunteers to plan exhibits
Assist with establishing the yearly show calendar
Make recommendations regarding show themes, standards, etc.

Jean Wagner Troemel Endowment Fund Challenge
Thanks to Jean Troemel and all the generous donors who rose to the challenge to put the Endowment Fund on sound financial footing. $9,722 was raised in addition to Jean Troemel's $5,000 match!
