Tactile Art Show

October is National Sensory Processing Awareness Month, and the STAAA is once again hosting the tactile exhibit with the Florida DeafBlind Association and FSDB. Unlike most art exhibits, viewers–blind, visually impaired, or sighted–are invited to touch the artwork!

A Celebration of Art & History: The Ximenez-Fatio Nights of Lights Exhibition

This year, celebrate art and history through a festive holiday display on the fireplace mantels of Ximenez-Fatio House! **Artists are invited to design and submit a festive mantel display by Friday, September 22nd.

Mix It Up

In this non-traditional exhibit, artists push the boundaries of norm. Works reflect non-traditional subjects–or perhaps a new perspective on traditional subjects–a variety of mediums and experiments with mediums, 2D and 3D.

Faces and Figures

Expressions of the human form bring personality to this exhibit. Drawing studies, formal portraits, everyday life subjects and other figures are presented in 2D & 3D media.

Reflections

Journey through the last 100 years of St. Augustine’s artists. Bringing together the past and present, this exhibit will feature works from the STAAA Permanent Collection alongside artwork by today’s artists. Works from the Plein Air Paint Out will also be featured, creating an irresistible artistic tapestry of the nation’s oldest city. An art collector’s delight!

History Through the Lens of Architecture

This national photography exhibit in July and August will challenge both professionals and amateurs to observe their own communities and tell a story of how local architecture plays a part in the development of the culture and people of their community.
