CALL FOR ART: Tactile Art Show

October 4 – 27

In-Gallery & Online

October is National Sensory Processing Awareness Month, and the St. Augustine Art Association is once again hosting this exhibit with the Florida DeafBlind Association and the Florida School for the Deaf & Blind. Unlike most art exhibits, viewers — blind, visually impaired, or sighted — are invited to touch the artwork!

Works may be any medium, subject or style, but must be intended for tactile “viewing.” No rough or sharp edges. Flat or low-texture pieces are not recommended.

Judged for acceptance and awards.

The Tactile Art Show is Sponsored By:

How is the show judged?

All judging takes place in-person, and entry fees are NONREFUNDABLE, even for works that cannot be accepted because they fail to meet the guidelines.

  • After entering online, works MUST be brought to the gallery by the drop off dates listed below. Judging for awards takes place in-person (not from the digital photos submitted) after the Artwork Drop-Off hours have concluded.

  • You will be notified on Thursday via phone call if:
    • You win an award. (But we won’t tell you what you won!)
    • Your work was not accepted. (We ask that you pick it up at your earliest convenience!)
    • Awards will be presented during First Friday Art Walk (October 4) at 7:00pm.
