Summer Art Camp: “First Things First: Draw It”

St. Augustine Art Association 22 Marine Street, St. Augustine, FL

Drawing is a key skill for a developing artist. Students will begin using pencils, charcoal, pen and ink and black fine tipped markers to observe elements of nature. Once we have practiced our drawings, we will learn how to use paints in both realistic and abstract designs. (Ideal for ages 6 - 10 and 11 - 14.)

Summer Art Camp: “Limited Edition”

St. Augustine Art Association 22 Marine Street, St. Augustine, FL

Students will be introduced to different printmaking techniques including etching, Lino cutting and eco printing. They’ll learn how to design stamp patterns and how different materials create different effects. By the end of the week, they’ll have their own series(es) of limited edition prints! (Ideal for ages 6 - 10 and 11 - 14.)

Gallery Closed for Interior Renovations

The gallery will close, beginning June 26th, for major interior renovations. The gallery will remain closed for July and August, but artists will still have the opportunity to show their work through our Annual Online Summer Art Sale!

Summer Art Camp: “Hot Wheels”

Lightner Museum 75 King Street, St. Augustine, FL

Draw inspiration from the Lightner Museum’s Ride On! exhibit of Bicycles. Thinking of bicycles in the past, present and future, campers will create both 2D and 3D works of art utilizing materials like watercolor paints, cardboard, wire and more. (Ideal for ages 6- 10.)

Summer Art Camp: “My Point of View”

Lightner Museum 75 King Street, St. Augustine, FL

Taking notes and finding inspiration from William Henry Jackson’s photo exhibition at the Lightner Museum, students will study the basics of photography and learn how to use camera tools and settings to capture their own points of view! (Ideal for ages 11 - 14.)
