History Through the Lens of the Artist
July 18 - August 25, 2024
Due to a change in circumstances, the St. Augustine Art Association has had to restructure the original photography show, History Through the Lens of Architecture, into a new exhibit. Although the title is similar, History through the Lens of the Artist, it will include both photography and other mediums (painting, drawing, sculpture, printmaking, etc.). In an effort to keep it fair to the photographers who have already submitted and still have active entries, we will have two categories with two separate judges and two separate set of awards: awards for photography and awards for other mediums. The accepted work will then be combined to create one major exhibition.
Sincerely,
The St. Augustine Art Association

This exhibit challenges artists to observe their surroundings and tell a story of the development and evolution of the culture and people of a community from its inception until today.
Artists may submit works that utilize subject matter ranging from architecture and landscape, to people, events, landmarks, social issues and more.
