  • Angelfish

    acrylics by Charles Trahan (12in. x 10in.)
"Angelfish exist in the Amazon Basin. New species of fish are discovered with increasing frequency. The differences may be subtle. Angelfish were bred in captivity for at least 30 years prior to being described as a species. They are praised for their unique shape, color, and behavior. It was not until the late 1920s to early 1930s that the angelfish was bred in captivity in the United States."

  • Titania

Polymer clay, acrylics by Shelby Clark-Glass (15.5in. x 8.5in.) **NOT FOR SALE**
"‘Titania’ incorporates elements from Shakespeare’s ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ into one of my regular characters: the wolf and seal hybrid. In this piece, I added various accents as nods to the play, such as a crown to represent the queen of the fairies, Titania herself, and various mushrooms and acorns to represent the woods where pivotal scenes take place. This setting in particular not only symbolizes a place of magic and transformation, but also, a place separate from society, full of freedom and chaos."
