"The Great Smoky Mountains is a famous place in the fall for those who are known as Leaf Peepers. On a trip to Gatlinburg, Tn a couple of years ago, I snapped the picture for this painting from a small bridge crossing over to the main highway through the city. The small hotel is known as the Rocky Water Motor Inn. The water behind the lodge is a beautiful stream with a lot of rocks. The stream is fairly large but somewhat shallow. It was early fall and the leaves were just beginning to acquire a hint of color. When fall has fully arrived the colors are brilliant."Artwork may be picked up from STAAA on or after May 29th.
