In the fall of the year the tops of the muhly grass turn a beautiful delicate purple-pink. The scientific name is Muhlenbergia Capillaries. This plant has long foliage blades that can reach 3 to 4 ft tall and 3 ft wide when mature. Muhly grass is native to Florida the eastern half of the U.S. It is named in honor of the German American Botanist Gotthilf Heinrich Ernst Mulenberg."
