Acrylic, Oil pastel, and Colored pencil by Evan Buckingham
(24 in. x 18 in.)
"As I enter adulthood, my memories of childhood have become estranged and foreign. Like a game of telephone, the threads of my experiences have been woven and rewoven, each retelling transforming them into distorted reflections of their original selves. Events from contrasting times and places knot together, further abstracting the past. I find that in these clusters, there exists no definitive start or resolute end; instead, the past emerges as a mosaic of fragmented puzzle pieces. As I further explore the depths of memory, I find solace, knowing that my past is not a fixed entity but a fluid reflection of who I am, forever evolving, forever growing."
