"The old icebreaker stands somewhat elegantly rusted and now in retirement. She begs to be painted. The Arctic Discoverer was originally an Alaskan icebreaker. The boat was used more recently by Tommy Thompson in the recovery of the US Mail Steamship Central America that sank in a hurricane off the Carolinas in 1857. With 38,000 pieces of mail and fortunes in gold bars from the gold fields, it had come through the Panama Canal on its way to the east coast. The Arctic Discoverer stands now at Holland Marine in Green Cove."
Artwork purchased online can be picked up AFTER the exhibit ends, on or after April 27 & 28, 2024 -- or shipped to the buyer (ALL SHIPPING COSTS TO BE PAID BY THE BUYER).
