"A le Fleur is a type of flower with petals that are soft, sheer and light in color. This piece of art was made using bamboo and esparto grass fibers. After a lengthy cooking the fibers are beaten to a pulp, then pulled from a vat to make a sheet of paper and firmly hand pressed into a hand cast mold made in 1820 - 1840. It took several days to dry then pulled from the cast to make this lovely delicate le Fleur."
