  • The four inch putt

    "One of a series of paintings done by Dr. Gary Coatoam, who turned down a full scholarship to the Cleveland Institute of Art in order to pursue a career in Dental Medicine. Since his retirement three years ago at the age of 75 Doctor Coatoam has revisited his love for art. His paintings reflect his affection for the Florida, nature, sports and the human form. Friends and family have been the eager recipients of the majority of his paintings, but he has won 1st in the only organized art show he has entered with his painting "Snowy Morning'" This particular jovial painting "The four inch putt" depicts three Florida golfers with the clubhouse of the Legacy Club at Alaqua Lakes in the background."
