Clay, Mixed Media by Sheryl Sherwood
⏤ 12 in x 6 in
"Night Garden represents a walk through the garden and seeing the leaves from the plants glisten in the moonlight. It is a hand-coiled, multi-media piece, using ush, pit firing and copper metal leaf to achieve varying colors. Inspired by the Japanese method, Kintsugi, in which gold is used to repair broken pottery, I have used copper metal leaf to fill and highlight areas of the multi-media piece that experienced some cracking during firing."
