    Watercolor by Siv Spurgeon (37in x 29in)
"THE ELEVEN EIGHTY SEVEN CAMELBACK This Reading Railroad #1187, a 0-4-0 Camelback style steam locomotive, was built in 1903 for the Philadelphia & Reading Railroad. It was primarily used for yard switching services, maneuvering railroad vehicles over short distances, then later hauling tourist trains, and eventually being reassigned to switching passenger cars until it was retired in 1967. The painting features an image of the locomotive as seen in the boneyard of the Reading Strasburg Museum in Strasburg, Pennsylvania. In 2020 the No. 1187 Camelback was acquired by the Age of Steam Roundhouse in Sugar Creek, Ohio, where it since has been restored and now is on exhibit."
