“Barbara spent 32 years as an educator in Michigan after earning a Bachelor of Music degree in applied piano from the University of Michigan and a Masters in School Administration from Michigan State University. In addition to taking coursework in fine arts and art history, she studied with several well-known painters, including Camille Przewodek, Pat Dews, and Terry Ludwig.
Valentine’s art can be found nationwide and has won awards in Florida and Alabama. Her work varies from abstract and experimental to portraits and landscapes. She works primarily in oil but utilizes any media to enhance her vision. In her retirement, she is a member of several plein air groups, occasionally joins paint-outs, and teaches workshops.”
Artwork purchased online can be picked up AFTER the exhibit ends on November 1, 2024 from the St. Johns County Administration Building (located at 500 San Sebastián View, St. Augustine, FL 32084).
