Randy Pitts graduated with a BFA from the University of South Florida with a concentration in drawing and printmaking. After a career in commercial arts, RAndy expanded his creative pursuits and began painting in 2001. He has since devoted himself to painting the landscape en plein air and the challenges of capturing the fleeting moments of light, form, and shape.
From 2014 to 2016, Randy was President of the First Coast Plein Air Painters and oversaw the organization’s membership growth. Under his guidance, FCPAP hosted several painting events, group exhibitions, workshops, and demos by nationally recognized artists.
Randy is recognized with a Best in Show Honorable Mention for his painting, Artist on Aviles Street.
Artwork purchased online can be picked up AFTER the exhibit ends on November 1, 2024 from the St. Johns County Administration Building (located at 500 San Sebastián View, St. Augustine, FL 32084).
