Eric Rakov grew up in Upstate New York and attended Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT), where he earned a BFA in Graphic Design and an AA in Illustration. After graduation, he joined a tech startup designing websites, leading to a successful IT management career. In 2014, he met his wife, Nikki, and his creative side was re-awakened. He works in traditional media such as pencil, acrylics and oils, but focuses on mixed-media collages with cut magazines.
Eric’s work is on exhibit at the Butterfield Garage Gallery. He is an active member of the St. Augustine Art Association and serves as Vice President of the Board. You can find him participating in First Friday Art Walk, Monday Night Figure Drawing, and the annual Plein Air Paint Out. His work has received awards from the Art Association and TAC Jacksonville exhibits.
Artwork purchased online can be picked up AFTER the exhibit ends on November 1, 2024 from the St. Johns County Administration Building (located at 500 San Sebastián View, St. Augustine, FL 32084).
