Float On

$550.00

Photography by Bethany Gerecke
(24.25 in. x 34.25 in.)

“FLOAT ON • A closer look ; I collected all pictured items (and more) on the beaches of St. Augustine, Florida the day after Hurricane Ian passed through. When I found these pieces of ocean plastics, they were being launched on shore by Ian’s residual swell. With each wave, a load of sea foam littered with colorful debris would appear in front of me. Bottle caps in every color, an army man, a partial kitten barrette—Crazy, right?! Float On was meant to be an encouraging title for this project. As we collectively float on, let’s love big, reach out to those in need, embrace this fantastic force of nature and support however we are able. Collection of ocean plastics, design and image by: Bethany Gerecke // @begerecke”
