Flying Colors: The Life & Work of Courtenay Hunt

“If you have to write something about me, just say that I loved painting. I loved flying, and I loved ladies, but not necessarily in that order.” — Courtenay Hunt

Written by art historian Wayne W. Wood, this richly illustrated book chronicles the colorful life of artist and aviator Courtenay Hunt, who captured the characters and coastal landscape of Northeast Florida during his long career. His works include portraits, still lifes, and sprawling landscapes — with a color palette that often explored deep and vivid shades.

This book was published on the occasion of the St. Augustine Art Association’s 90th Anniversary and one-year anniversary of Hunt’s death.
