“Each Ocean Wash produces a new creative challenge I look forward to meeting. In this Ocean Wash, the canvas revealed distinct red, white and blues with golden accents. Intuitively or, perhaps, subliminally, it spoke patriotic and American. Although we, as a nation, have had our challenges and differences of opinions of what is American, I am proud to be an American where democracy can work. As a child, we had an emblem above our library that included an eagle which I pondered its meaning. The eagle is truly a majestic bird to represent and symbolize our country. The unfurling of the red and white stripes seems to give way to the flight of an eagle as it travels from “sea to shining sea”. Poetic imagery. Enjoy and let our national anthem sing in your head as you travel the canvas.”
Artwork purchased online may be picked up at the St. Augustine Art Association (22 Marine Street) on or after April 2nd during regular gallery hours (Tuesday through Sunday, 12:00 – 4:00pm) or shipped to the buyer (ALL SHIPPING COSTS TO BE PAID BY THE BUYER).
