Description
The Lincolnville neighborhood, just south of downtown St. Augustine, comes alive through artist Rosamond Parrish’s colorful paintings.
Her descriptions of early black history through Flagler-era development, prominent 1960s Civil Rights activities and present-day popularity as a place to call home tell of a beautiful, vibrant and evolving neighborhood.
Residents and visitors alike have discovered that Parrish’s book, “Lincolnville, A Sketchbook Journal of St. Augustine’s Historic Neighborhood” have given them a new appreciation of this long-neglected gem in the Oldest City.
