My Hound Dog Elvis

acrylic / paper collage by Deborah Hossbach
(14.75 in. x 18.75 in.)
**NOT FOR SALE**

I am excited, inspired, challenged, nurtured and comforted when I paint. I am also always interested in learning new techniques and experimenting… I love trying out that new brush, or palette knife, and experimenting with color and medium. In this portrait I painted old book pages with acrylic paint, then tore small pieces of the pages and using medium attached them to the canvas. Layering the torn pieces I was able to create depth, texture and add fine detail to his portrait.
