Svetlana Shorey is a Russian-born American artist exploring various media to create everything from oil miniatures to large-scale murals to theatre backdrops. With over 40 years of art experience, she graduated from the Vocational State University of Arts in Moscow, Russia, and is a certified interior designer. Her work can be found in galleries and private collections worldwide.
She is a member of many Florida art organizations, including the St. Augustine Art Association, Professional Artists of St. Augustine, and First Coast Plein Air Painters.
You may spot her sketching or painting along the historic streets of St. Augustine: “Each time I start a new piece, I feel a wonderful excitement in my heart, similar to the feeling of falling in love. I believe my artworks are created not just with oils or watercolors but also with joy.”
Artwork purchased online can be picked up AFTER the exhibit ends on November 1, 2024 from the St. Johns County Administration Building (located at 500 San Sebastián View, St. Augustine, FL 32084).
