“This painting reflects a special moment I experienced at Gilchrist Springs when a manatee swam up to me, curious and gentle. He reached out his flipper as if for a handshake, and we shared a quiet connection that felt profound.
I created this piece to capture that feeling of connection with nature. My hope is to remind viewers of the quiet, powerful encounters we can have with the world around us and the importance of respecting and preserving these moments.”
