Learn how to bring a script to life in this drawing-intensive crash course!
Join Jeffrey Errico, Los Angeles-based Storyboard Artist, as he shares his process for creating and choreographing epic scenes through a storyboard. Students will learn what makes a strong, dynamic frame, the different types of storyboarding that exist, and what to expect when it comes to working with live action film or commercials. Whether you’re interested in storyboarding, visual storytelling, or simply drawing — this workshop will teach you how to design a shot and craft a compelling scene!
For those interested in the world of film industry, Errico will also provide valuable insight on how storyboards are used in physical production, portfolio presentation, and the business aspects of storyboarding.
For this workshop, students are only responsible for bringing a pencil, paper and sticky notes. For those who prefer to work digital, feel free to bring along your iPad or digital drawing device.
About the Instructor
Jeffrey Errico is a freelance Storyboard Artist based in Los Angeles. He has been storyboarding for nearly ten years. Through his career, he has worked on projects such as Violent Night, Snow White & The Huntsman, Lethal Weapon, Birds of Prey, 22 Jump Street, Burlesque, Terminator: Genisys, Underworld 3: Rise of the Lycans, and Crank, along with high profile directors such as McG, Francis Lawrence, Jaume Collet-Serra, the Hughes brothers, Tarsem and Patrick Tatopoulos.
When not storyboarding, Errico enjoys focusing on his figurative work, and is an active member of the St. Augustine Art Association’s Monday Night Figure Drawing group.
