SUMMER ART CAMP
June 6 – 10 & June 13 – 17
Summer Art Camps start this June! — Debra Weller, artist and educator, will lead students through a variety of mediums and techniques to encourage art appreciation and critical thinking, as well as allow students to experiment with their own creativity.
On the Friday of each session, family members are invited to an “Art Walk” at 11:15 AM in the gallery to view the student art work.
Art Camp sessions are ideal for ages 6 – 12. Space is limited. Students should bring their own snacks and drinks.
PLAYFUL PASTELS (THIS SESSION IS FULL)
June 6 – 10 ( 9am – noon )
Explore the versatility and vibrancy of pastels! Students will learn techniques for shading, blending and color dynamics using oil and soft pastels. Projects will include self-portraits, animal portraits and landscapes.
WIRED! (THIS SESSION IS FULL)
June 13 – 17 ( 9am – noon )
Get your sculpt on! Students will make sculptures out of wire and clay learning how to use a continuous line to make an image, discovering hand-building with coils, and using wire to make imprints. Projects will include 3D sculptures made of wire, clay, and wire and clay.
