Friday, November 19 ( 10am - 3pm )
On Friday, November 19th, from 10am-3pm, the St. Augustine Art Association will be hosting a one-day workshop for volunteers looking to lead or help in exhibit design, layout and installation.
At the beginning of each month, our Installation team works with the staff on all aspects of gallery preparation, which includes designing and hanging the next display. But, in this workshop, you’ll have the chance to go further than simply putting pieces up on the wall — you’ll learn the very ins and outs of exhibit design!
Julie Dickover, director of the Crisp-Ellert Art Museum, will share her knowledge and experience in art installation. Join her as she teaches the best techniques and practices when it comes to professionally laying out and hanging an exhibit. In this workshop, you’ll also learn how to tackle the challenge of organizing over 100 diverse works of art each month — from paintings and sculpture to fiber arts and photography.
